The first restaurant at Bognor Regis in West Sussex is a development of the single-storey restaurants seen around the UK, with the new two-storey facility. It will seat up to 130 people, along with the Drive-Thru. The new format store at Bognor Regis will be the first two-storey Drive-Thru location in the UK.
As part of the design, a dining area and toilets are included in the ‘LIM food’ design concept. Staff areas include kitchen and servery, offices, and storage.
Elliott Off-Site will construct the building using steel-framed modules with a concrete floor and a range of architectural features. This off-site method of construction will enable the building to be manufactured in a factory controlled environment to an extremely high specification and detail, which is necessary to achieve the short programme of just five weeks on-site.
Modules will be delivered to site in fully fitted out format including all fixed furniture and signage. The modules will be lifted into place and the external facade and associated external enabling works will then be completed.
The external finish of the buildings will include a brick slip plinth, stone tiling and Trespa panels with large areas of glazing to the dining areas.
Elliott Off-site has already delivered a range of new single-storey restaurants in line with McDonald’s planned expansion programme.
