Designed as rental house for independent people, House on the Water is a self-sufficient house for nomadic life offshore. The house design has made maximum use of solar energy.
The dynamic and simple form of the house is a proposal for a single family home designed with sustainability in mind. Made of concrete, the house features steel cantilever structures. A concrete counterweight foot stabilizer with the sea bed pile system acts as the foundation for the house.
The floating deck rises with the water level thanks to the railing installed in the core structure. This functions as the lead way to the stairway that reaches the top deck.
The design has taken into consideration water desalination, energy accumulation, ventilation methods, water recycling, heat and energy consumption, tidal and solar energy.
