Situated overlooking the lake that anchors RIO Washingtonian Center shopping, dining and entertainment complex, the new Lakeside Ballroom features 3,372 square feet of flexible indoor space and 2,000 square feet of outdoor terrace.
Inspired by the blue water and lush greenery, the Lakeside Ballroom has been created as a sophisticated venue featuring natural elements for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, client receptions and business meetings.
Its floor-to-ceiling windows accent the ballroom’s walnut panels and rich palette of rust, amber and chocolate. The swirling leaf design on the floor complements its natural surroundings while the petals of translucent chandeliers float across a coffered ceiling. Light-reflecting acrylic wall panels ripple like water.
Construction on the Lakeside Ballroom began in November 2012 as part of a major renovation that included a new Marriott Hotels & Resorts Greatroom and The Bench restaurant, bar and patio.
The Lakeside Ballroom opened its doors to the guests on 22 May 2013.
