Cleveland Clinic, in collaboration with the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute in Las Vegas, has created a highly specialized clinical center to advance the research, early detection and treatment of patients with neuron-cognitive disorders that result from neurological diseases, including Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s, Parkinson’s, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

The $100 million facility designed by Frank Gehry has been designed to house clinical space, a diagnostic center, neuron-imaging rooms, physician offices and laboratories devoted to clinical research.

The building features a 28-meter high metal and glass trellis with curves and unusual angles that covers the rear of the building. The front part is made of stacked blocks.

The Lou Ruvo Brain Institute is run by the Cleveland Clinic, which is a multi-specialty academic medical center based in Ohio.
