The airport, catering to 2.5 million passengers a year, has an increased workload in the baggage handling areas with the handlers spending prolonged periods of time. The area also gets wet from rain due to the constant passage of the baggage trollies between the carousals and the aircraft.
To improve comfort and safety, the Vynagrip slip resistant matting has been chosen to be installed in this area. The matting with deeply etched surface, performs as a slip resistant surface to reduce the stress and fatigue of workers standing on hard surfaces. In addition, the matting contours over uneven surfaces while its 15 milimetre open grid height straddles pools of water and dissipates any surface liquid, thereby keeping workers safe, comfortable and dry.
Vyngarip is available in various colours like red, blue or black with the additional option of black with yellow edge bands for Vynagrip Plus. Manufactured with a minimum of 30% post-industrial recycled material, the black version is fully recyclable, which makes it a sustainable and environment-friendly product.
The matting is supplied in 5 metre or 10 metre roll lengths and is 60, 91 and 122 centimetre wide. Individual modules with yellow safety ramping to three sides are available in 80 x 120cm or 100 x 150cm.
