The Franklin’s Crystal Ridge Ski Hill that borders on Greendale, will undergo $3.5 renovation which will be staged in three phases. It will feature several baseball fields, biking trails, skiing tracks and a restaurant.
Located near South 76th Street and West Rawson Avenue, the first phase of the complex will feature six baseball fields, a 3,500-square-foot sports-themed restaurant and bar, improvements to the ski hill, and a new BMX bike track, reports the Milwaukee Business Journal. The restaurant and bar would open in March 2013.
In the second phase, there will be four softball fields, upgrades to the ski hill chalet and indoor and outdoor volleyball courts. It is expected to start in 2013. In the final phase, which is the third phase, four fields for Little League football and lacrosse will be built.
There might also be batting cages and soccer fields in the plan, as per Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report.
