G&W Architects has been honored for the third year in a row as one of BCI Asia’s Top 10 Architects of 2009. The winning entry – the Texas Instruments project in Baguio City – is the first and only building in the Philippines to achieve LEED-Silver certification by the US Green Building Council (USGBC).
Led by Daniel Terrence Yu, the top architects of G&W worked closely with the engineering design team to design a highly energy-efficient and eco-friendly facility by using local vernacular materials for the façade, instead of importing materials that consume more energy and fuels.
The BCI Asia Top 10 monitors numerous projects around the Asia-Pacific region and provides an overview of architects designing the greatest volume of buildings in seven regional markets in Asia.
