The multi-million dollar, multi-phase project will result in 136,000 square feet of renovated and expanded surgical department.

The enhanced facility will be designed to accommodate 20 operating rooms, 76 pre-operative and post-operative bays, new waiting room, conference rooms, education space, family consultation rooms, and new physician and staff lounges. The new waiting room will be updated with technology to keep families connected to family and friends during the surgery process.

The expansion is scheduled to be completed in late 2012. The expansion also marks an important milestone for Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center as the hospital prepares to celebrate 100 years of providing health care services. Banner Good Samaritan is owned and operated by Phoenix-based Banner Health, a non-profit health service provider.
