In an inspection tour at the Bojoga General Hospital, commissioner of health Dr Umar Isa said that a thorough overhaul has been carried out at six general hospitals which has cost NGN 280 million ($1.9 million) per hospital.
Dr Isa also said that NGN 51.2 million ($345,344) has been spent for the purchase of equipments for the hospitals, which include hospital beds, mattresses, theater table, dental and laboratory equipments.
Office furniture, standby generator and ambulance vehicle for each of the hospitals would also be supplied.
Dr Isa said that the renovations have cut across the three senatorial districts of the state, and some of the hospitals in these districts have been fully revived.
