The new gasoline station and convenience store will be located at 3504 Clinton Parkway, on the corner of Clinton Parkway and Crossgate Drive in West Lawrence. The facility will consist of 16 fueling stations and a 3,200 square feet convenience store.
The store has incorporated several sustainable features, which consist of solar panels, rain water harvesting system and energy-efficient lighting among others. The canopy covering the station’s gas pumps has been lined with solar panels, which generate green power to run the store and station.
The store has a rooftop rain collection system, which will collect grey water and will be used at the toilets, aiding in preserving water. The store has concrete floors, which do not require wax or other chemicals for cleaning, thereby protecting the environment from pollution.
The store also features skylights, which bring in natural light into the inner space. Further power efficiency is achieved with the usage of LED lighting for illumination purposes. The landscape area features native plants and buffalo grass that require little watering.
