All the 486 guestrooms and common areas were completely redesigned as part of an extensive renovation project. The new design features an urban nautical motif that utilises actual canvas sails in the common areas to fill the expansive atrium and lobby areas with the combination of space and light.
The first phase of renovation includes transformation of the guestrooms, including both visual and operational elements such as bed linens, window coverings and updated guest technology. The property has also renovated three floors to appeal to business and upscale leisure travelers.
Most visible changes have taken place in the hotel’s public spaces, which include the entire front atrium, registration and lobby areas, as well as the lounge and restaurant. Bold colors, reminiscent of nautical flags are used for the lounge area seating and tall, sweeping sails used in the open atrium in the lobby space.
Glass-encased model sailboats separate the dining areas and custom lighting changes colours to reflect the overall mood of the space. Innvision has also reused some of the original materials in the new design, including a golden oak trim.
The Adam’s Mark Buffalo also features a convention center, which will be covered in the next phase of renovation.
The hotel portion has been redesigned to better accommodate today’s business traveler and convention guest. The meeting spaces will be updated to bring the design in line with the rest of the property.
