The project involves addition of a single-storey annexure to the existing facility that will house two swimming pools, a health suite and spa. Additionally, the company will also offer full redevelopment services for the entire centre.
Scope of work involves construction of a 25m pool along with a learner pool and the associated wet-changing facilities, and redevelopment of the existing dry-change and fitness suite. The roof of the new building will also be curved, which will align it with the existing structure. The building will have a steel frame and masonry structure.
ISG will also improve the thermal performance of the building and install intelligent lighting technology. It will also replace the existing gas-based air conditioning system with more energy-efficient air conditioning and air handling units. The project will span for 52-weeks.
Estimated value of the contract is £3.5 million ($5.67 million). The project forms part of the larger £5.6 million ($9.08 million) program, which is being carried out by ISG for Alliance Leisure Services.
