The 55,000-seat stadium has undergone $19.5 million in 2008, which included improvements to stadium suites and the west concourse.

The current east side renovation is just the replication of the west side renovation. The concourse is being widened and concession/restroom facilities are also receiving improvements.

New gates are built on both sides of the Jacobson Athletic Building and east side of the stadium. There are some additional construction works such as construction of steps at the east gate to be done.

Jack Trice Stadium is primarily used for college football, and is the home field of the Iowa State University Cyclones.
