The Kearney City Council will discuss four upgrade projects at the Kearney Regional Airport that need qualified architect and engineering services for preliminary design, bidding and construction phases. The council will authorize the mayor to execute the consultant agreement with HWS Consulting Group. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will fund 95% of the projects.
The city will also consider plans for another construction project that will expand the airport terminal about 1,800 square feet. The project includes renovation of about 5,000 square feet of the existing terminal. A bid conference will be held at 2 p.m. on February 16, 2010 and the bid opening date will be March 4, 2010.
