Spanning 150,000 square feet, the KidZania Cuicuilco mimics kid-sized city featuring 90 establishments such as city hall, bank, restaurants, a hospital, and a sports stadium among others. The entire park has been designed on the principle based on a child’s natural desire to create, explore and collaborate.
The KidZania Cuicuilco offers innovative techniques to teach children about various socio-economic things, consisting of environmental stewardship, empathy for kids with different abilities, how to cook healthy food and recreation choices, hands-on driving and road safety via a fleet of kid-sized eco-friendly vehicles, among several other programs.
The park offers the most authentic driving experience for children in the world. Children get to learn about driving, auto insurance, and ride from the largest fleet of electric kid-sized vehicles consisting of minivans, SUVs, ambulances, city buses and police cars. The kids will also learn about several kinds of processes by which power is generated, such as electric power plant, wind turbines, solar panels and water treatment facility.
The park integrated the recyclables drop-off center for the surrounding community, with its park activities. The park also has a three-storey disaster center, which simulates flood, fire or earthquake and teaches children how to respond.
KidZania Cuicuilco incorporates several tools to assist people with special needs to navigate the park independently. To create an understanding towards disabled children, the park has several activities that allow typically-able kids to experience what it would be like to have a disability.
The park will also feature parent’s lounge, which will include a spa, movie room, restaurant and Internet (WiFi) cafe.
