Helen Edwards, the mall’s marketing director, said that the previous Loblaw store is being demolished and steelwork has begun. She also said that construction of the mall is expected to last throughout the summer with completion scheduled later this year.
The mall’s total size after renovations will increase from 277,000 square feet to about 500,000 square feet.
When finished, the mall will have 105 stores, an upgraded food court with a working fireplace and seating for 612 people.
Additional improvements include adding around 800 new parking places long with benches and chairs throughout the mall.
