Taking inspiration from the black and white stone decorations seen in Europe starting from the 9th-century Amalfi Cathedral in Italy to the 20th-century San Giovanni Battista in Mogno, Switzerland, the Herringbone table features a distinctive zig-zag pattern. The design unites white Carrara and black Nero Marquina marble into a single surface.
The table features two slabs of contrasting marble, which are cut using advanced water jet technology to provide a precise shape. Natural grain patterns are matched across the whole tabletop. Adding more sophistication, it also features a solid brass base with elegantly tapered legs, which completes the piece.
Remodelling the original leather-topped wooden table, which features traditional punched and stitched brogue detailing on its edge, the Brogue table has been designed with solid Carrara marble, with every element faithfully rendered from the original.
Both the tables are available with customised options to suit individual preferences. The Herringbone measures 2007mm x 985mm x 741mm high and costs £30,000 ($46,662.6) and The Brogue measures 1198mm in diameter x 755mm high and costs £21,600 ($33,597.1).
