The project is the first multi-family scheme in Silicon Valley to have achieved the highest LEED level. Designed by Southern California Institute of Architecture, the project has been developed at Lassen Street in Los Altos.

The multi-family development is three units scheme, which consist of two, two-bedroom townhouses and one studio. All the homes have decks and floor-to-ceiling glass, which allows natural light to permeate into the inner spaces of the homes. The homes also feature sliders, which connects the outdoor and indoor spaces. One of the three units also has an indoor garden.

The homes demonstrate high standards in energy and water consumption and conservation and were designed to achieve Z6 environmental goals, which consist of zero energy, zero water, zero indoor emissions, zero waste, zero carbon and zero ignorance.

The homes feature FSC-certified wood modules and run on green power generated by means of photovoltaic panels. Paints used are of zero VOC nature. The homes also feature sustainable materials, which aid in maintaining the indoor air quality.

Additional sustainable elements include recycled content counters and super low flow water fixtures. The surfaces of kitchen and bathrooms have been created out of recycled content.
