Marazzi Road Show will be held on 13 September in the Heinzkraftwerk Freiheiz in Munich. The travelling exhibition, organised in partnership with the German architectural magazine AIT – Architekur, Innenarchitekur, Technischer Ausbau, will showcase the best ceramic products ‘Made in Italy’ by Italian company Marazzi.
Progetto Triennale, the celebrated ‘4 curves’ tile designed by Giò Ponti in 1960 and reissued by Marazzi Tecnica with new aesthetics and technical features, will be the main attraction of the show. The tile was first exhibited at the 1960 Triennale in Milan. It will also be the centre piece of a creative contest during which participants will be called to express their own creativity by designing compositions using miniatures of the Progetto Triennale tile. The works will then be evaluated by a judging panel, consisting of Gianluca Rossi, Piero Lissoni and AIT, who will give an award to the most original creation.
Among other collections, the SistemN technical porcelain stoneware, examples of wood-like effect porcelain TreverkHome and TreverkSign, and light and slim ColorUp wall tiles will also be exhibited.
The travelling exhibition has witnessed participation of over 200 guest architects in Berlin, more than 300 in Hamburg and 160 in Frankfurt. The Road Show is part of a wider strategy of consolidation and expansion by Marazzi in Germany, which is its second most important European market.
