Located in the Oakland Hills, the house is spread over an area of 13,000 square feet and overlooks the San Francisco Bay. The five-bedroom, five-bath house has been designed on two levels of 4,600 square feet.

The high sustainability home features eco-friendly Western Red Cedar siding, a planted green roof garden and deck, on-site rain and ground water reclamation, in-floor hydronic heating, and solar electric and solar thermal systems. The house is 55% more energy efficient than California’s Title 24 energy standards.

In order to learn about sustainability and design, about 6,000 designers, architects, builders and homeowners have already completed the home’s tour.
