The Courtyard Scottsdale Salt River in Arizona will be the first hotel by the brand under its LEED Volume Program as well as first Marriott to be built on US tribal land. The hotel has 153 guestrooms. Amenities at the hotel include the brand’s signature Refreshing Business lobby and GoBoard application which offers information on various local topics through its interactive touch screen LCD TV. The food and dining options at the hotel includes The Bistro.
The hotel also includes more than 6000 square feet of meeting space, consisting of a 3000 square feet ballroom. The interiors feature several artworks by local artists, which are based on the Native American aspects of the Pima and Maricopa tradition and culture. The art works include a mural by Anthony Thosh Collins, wherein the artist has depicted an ancient courting ritual called Pima basket dance.
The Courtyard Scottsdale Salt River features several environment conscious features, which includes light color roofing, usage of Energy Star rated appliances, water efficient faucets at restrooms and bathrooms. Almost 10% of the total construction materials consist of recycled material.
