The project involves redevelopment of an old building located at 123-151 Buckingham Palace Road which was originally designed by Peter Foggo. The renovated facility will feature eight shops, three restaurants and a supermarket.

The development will feature al fresco dining for 100 across five raised terraces. The project will also create a new public realm and green landscaping across the application site and improve pedestrian safety and coach parking on Bulleid Way.

The plans includes removal of the glazed canopy from the original building to facilitate permeation of more sunlight into the inner spaces of the building. The shopfronts will boast slick ribbon of glass which will enhance the presence of retailers. The entrance to the 40,000 square metre office areas of the complex will feature a pair of zig-zag canopies clad in expanded copper mesh.

The £7 million ($10.9 million) scheme is being developed by Ivanhoe Cambridge and Westbrook Partners. Construction on the scheme is scheduled to commence in 2012.
