The Swedish Fish Drink tray is a handy size tray that has been designed in the 50s decade by Marianne Westman. Since then, it has been handmade in Sweden by a family run company using traditional techniques.
The trays are made in layers of birch veneer that are heated and then pressed. To further increase their washability, the edges of the tray are sealed with wax in the end. The trays are 32cm long and 15cm wide, which makes it suitable to carry for small-eats and drinks.
The Swedish Fish is available on a fine linen/cotton blend tea towel, as well as a heat-treated, birch veneer drinks tray. The towel has a dimension of 47cm x 70cm. Both trays and tea-towel feature linear graphics and cool, aquatic colours, which add a vintage appeal to the kitchen and serves as an example of pared-down Nordic style.
