Spread over 6,000-square feet, the rooftop garden features whimsical play sculptures, colourful plants, relaxing sitting areas, and an interactive water feature, according to hospital officials. There are plans to add more plants and music to the garden.
The garden is part of the Children’s Arts and Healing and Urban Renewal Project. It also coincides with the hospital’s $300 million redevelopment and expansion project.
Construction of the garden began last August 2012, and was completed in the fall of 2012.
