Located in the city’s Flatiron district, the 5,000 square feet custom designed space stands out because of its ‘starry sky’, constructed of 74 illuminated Corian segments that hang over application vignettes of the brand in operating rooms, feature walls, hospitality, education, residential, lighting and furniture.
With a rotating series of exhibits from international designers in the works, Design Studio will provide project support for designers using Zodiaq, DuPont’s quartz solid surfacing product. Christopher Whitelaw, director of research and development for Evans & Paul, says that the Studio is a showplace for new offerings, fabrication skills and real-life applications. The Studio will also serve as an interactive workshop for architects and designers.
The Studio opened its doors on June 1, 2009.
