The 300-guestroom Renaissance Arlington Capital View hotel located at 2800 South Potomac Ave. is a new built hotel, opened in March 2011. The hotel has been constructed in compliance with several green principles, based on which it has secured LEED status.

Construction of the hotel involved usage of post-consumer recycled material, which accounts for 26% of the total material. The green elements of the hotel include a green roof, which reduces heat island effect; energy-efficient glass and energy efficient lighting, and recyclable storage and collection. The landscape of the hotel uses 50% lesser water.

Other facilities at the 14-storied hotel include 17,354 square feet of meeting space, which consist of 15 meeting rooms; three concierge levels; fitness centre and swimming pool; and a business centre. The food and dining options at the hotel consist of an Italian restaurant called Socci and a coffee shop called Espressamente illy.
