The $20 million renovation project will include reconfiguring the interior of the 1930s-era Art Deco building, upgrading heating and air conditioning and installing information technology systems. Renovations will also create a more efficient structure in full compliance with accessibility and occupational health and safety standards.

The project is expected to break ground in February 2011. The Scott College of Business is expected to start using the building in 2012.

The Indiana State University’s Board of Trustees had voted to seek state approval for selling $9 million in bonds for the project, with $10 million in private gifts covering the rest of the cost.
