Brown’s Hotel, a Rocco Forte Hotel in Mayfair, London, has launched three new Forte Suites.

The Clementi, Clara Dow and Nightingale Suites each celebrate a local musical connection – from a nod to the Italian composer Muzio Clementi who called Mayfair home, to a Gilbert and Sullivan soprano star, and, finally, a wartime ballad sung by Dame Vera Lynn, once a guest of Brown’s Hotel.

The new suites form the first phase of a design refresh at the luxury hotel. Over the coming months, further spaces will be reimagined. The hotel comprises 115 rooms and suites, each crafted by Olga Polizzi, , director of design at Rocco Forte Hotels.

The Clementi Suite features draped fabrics and a palette anchored by Farrow & Ball’s Calke Green, a concealed door – a nod to English architect Sir John Soane – plus antique accents and bold contemporary artworks. The Clara Dow Suite features handcrafted San Patrignano wallpaper, decorative cornices and period-inspired details.

Soft lighting, handwoven rugs, and sculptural sconces decorate the Nightingdale Suite, while the Emperador marble bathroom with its porthole window, offers a view above the rooftops of Mayfair.

Polizzi said: ‘We have created spaces that feel deeply connected – to the building, to Mayfair, and to the people who have shaped it over the years. This project is among the most personal and meaningful we’ve undertaken at Brown’s Hotel.’
