The seventh showroom of Odegard in US, the 2,875 square feet space features Odegard’s collection of hand-knotted wool carpets and custom furnishings. The showroom will also showcase Mughal Collection, a recently launched series inspired by 17th century India. The handcrafted furnishings of the showroom sport marble surfaces inlaid with semi-precious stones, rosewood inlaid with mother of pearl and hand-hammered copper.

The showroom is also hosting ‘Faces of Freedom’, a RugMark Foundation-sponsored exhibit of photography by U. Roberto Romano to commemorate the opening. The exhibit, which will be on till June 12, 2009, will feature photographs depicting child labor in the South Asian rug industry

With a percentage of every Odegard carpet produced and imported being paid to the foundation to ensure that they are made without child labor, Odegard is the largest contributor to RugMark.

The showroom will be managed by Dana Greason, while Anne Zettle, an outside sales representative will promote the brand through an outreach program.
