Work is being carried out in phases. The first phase involved a renovation of the lobby of the hotel which is now known as the Marriott Great Room. The phase involves demolition of the conventional architectural details. A massive fretwork bearing a subtle Asian style designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates serves as the backdrop of the frontdesk.
Phase II of the project is currently underway and involves renovation of the Marriott Café, Crossroads Cafe and all 372 guest rooms of the facility. Each room of the building will now be adorned with ergonomic furniture pieces, as well as sleek and elegant finishing. The revamped rooms will further incorporate Samsung Full-HD Smart TVs measuring 46 inches, and a pair of 1956 leather and enamelled Eames Desk Chairs.
The guestrooms will sport neutral tones complemented by bold-designed accent fabrics post upgrade works. The bathrooms will be reconfigured to create more area to accommodate a large walk-in waterfall shower, resting bench in addition to an extended vanity zone.
Construction is slated for completion by April 2012.
