The designers, Hans Toft Hornemann and Terkel Skou Steffensen, have used a combination of wood and ceramic to create Snövsen desk lamps. The design of the lamp is based on the circle and the square, which refers to traditional Scandinavian design tradition.
The base of the lamp consist of four batons with the same section. The electrical flex is fed through the upright. The shade is made of thin ceramic, which is painted in different hues. The shade conceals the light source that is a small LED GX53 lamp.
The designers have used Danish maple wood for the lamp. The lamp has simple expression and fits into any environment. It combines craftsmanship with energy efficiency of LED lighting.
