The mall will combine fine architecture and the latest green technology, according to DIP executive director Francois Faure. The architects, Arkiteknik International, have combined water, glass and steel in the design to offer a unique decor experience for the customers.
The interior of the mall will also be equipped with LCD and LED technology to offer new visual effects.
The designers are planning to make it a more environmentally friendly shopping center while retaining aesthetic sense. The frontage of the mall will feature glass specially designed to divert heat and help conserve energy by reducing the load on the air conditioners.
According to DIP General Manager Mohammed Ahmed, “Sunset Mall will go beyond just providing aesthetic value for its special clientele. The building will be one of the ‘greener’ shopping canters in the city, with the glass front being specifically designed to divert heat and help conserve energy by reducing the load on the air conditioners.”
Sunset is a mixed-use development project, including a high end luxury shopping mall, boutique offices and lavish residential apartments in the heart of Dubai. Other projects completed by DIP are the Twin Towers, the Dubai Marine Beach Resort, Palm Strip Shopping Mall, Flora Creek Hotel and Le Meridien Residence.
