Located at 36 Rothschild Boulevard, Meier-on-Rothschild is situated in Tel Aviv’s business and cultural centre in close proximity to the city’s best dining, shopping, and beaches. The 590 feet white and transparent tower will use aluminum system to envelop the project, in keeping with the project’s environmental standards as well as to create an aesthetic statement to align with the residences within.
The apartments will include materials and leading-edge innovations to ensure that Meier-on-Rothschild becomes, and remains, “the” address in Tel Aviv. With 10 feet high ceilings, each 8,450 square feet floor can either be a single residence or be divided into two, four or five units. Each floor also features 540 square feet of terraces, spanning 135 square feet. A ‘smart home’ system will be installed for controlling and coordinating all electric, communication and security functions within homes. Meier-on-Rothschild contains a total of 141 units, including two duplex penthouses and one triplex penthouse.
Richard Meier has collaborated with Louise and Paul Sunshine of Sunshine Select Worldwide to offer prospective buyers turnkey fully-furnished residences, featuring custom Richard Meier-designed furniture, tabletop, and accessories.
Residents will access Meier-on-Rothschild from an inviting landscaped plaza, also designed by Richard Meier. The shaded public area will feature benches, statues and greenery. The project’s master plan includes adjacent street-level retail featuring luxury shops and dining to enliven the neighborhood.
Upon entering the building, residents and guests will be welcomed by a grand lobby featuring 26 feet high ceilings, marble floors, wooden parquet walls, a reception desk, Richard Meier designed-furniture, and a mail room.
The building will feature a spa , fitness centre, relaxation lounge, treatment room, dry sauna and personal training room. From the spa, residents may directly access a 25 metre swimming pool and adjacent kid’s pool and Jacuzzi. The chic wooden roof deck will have lounge chairs, cabanas, and shaded pergolas for the residents’ enjoyment. A wine cellar will function as a bar and entertaining area for hosting guests. Individual wine racks allow residents to store their collections.
Meier-on-Rothschild has used environment-friendly design and technology, which includes Chascha-maim or smart-saved-water, an Israeli technology to reduce water consumption by 30%; pneumatic waste collection, which entails the separation of different waste types to maximise recycling; blinds and shading designed especially for the local climate to reduce air-conditioning use; windows and glazing to optimise the amount of light within the building; and locally-sourced building materials to reduce the environmental impact of transportation.
Meier-on-Rothschild will provide the second home buyer with an opportunity to live in a fully-completed, luxuriously furnished home appointed with limited-edition Richard Meier signed and numbered furniture, select vintage antique pieces, handsome contemporary designs from B&B Italia, Bulthaup kitchens, Frette linens, and every possible accoutrement.
The building will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2014.
