Slated to be officially launched in late 2012, the competition will allow the house-builders to design new communities in collaboration with the local people. The government is yet to set a framework for the completion, which the developers will comply for the housing schemes.

The designs will be evaluated by a panel of judges, which will include Terence Conran and other celebrated designers.
