Shaped like a rectangle, the sofa resembles the inside of a recording booth. The seat of Panther is made of plywood panels, joined to a metal base by nylon cable ties. The Pyramidal sound-proof foam serves as sofa’s cushion.
One plywood board measuring 8’x 4’ had been cut in a 2’by 2’ module, joined with the help of finger joins and organized into three independent self-supporting wood elements. These elements work structurally when compressed to each other with a tight nylon cable.
The entire sofa has been made without the use of nails, glue or screws.
