The new hotel will be designed by US-based Studio Gaia. The design of the new hotel draws inspiration from Colombia’s famous El Dorado legend. The design team will use a variety of colour, light and texture to deliver a vibrant and glamorous scheme, which will be an addition to the varied landscape of Colombia.
Scheduled to open in 2014, W Bogota will be situated in the Usaquen district in the northern part of the Bogota. The hotel will be a part of a mixed-use development, which will also include premium office space and high-end retail. W Bogota will feature 168 guestrooms, including 20 suites and one Extreme Wow Suite. All the guestrooms will have chic décor and will include all contemporary comfort offering.
Other facilities for the guests will consist of W Lounge, hotel lobby, destination restaurant and nightclub, Away spa, and 3,000 square feet Workout fitness centre. The hotel will also include 12,000 square feet of function space, including a Great Room and five state-of-the-art meeting rooms.
