The Hampstead store is located at 3220 N. Hanover Pik in Hamstead and has boosted the employment in the region with 85 new jobs.

In sync with Walmart’s strategy to make its stores environmentally friendly, the new Walmart also incorporates a host of sustainable elements. It has been equipped with LED lighting fixtures throughout which are 70% more efficient compared to conventional fluorescent lighting. The store also has efficient water fixtures to minimize water consumption and wastage.

The construction was done using some amount of recycled material to create the concrete flooring of the store. The floor boast finish, which negates the use of chemical for cleaning purposes. The bathrooms have low-flow toilets and faucets, which reduces water consumption.
