The new, 186,000 square feet Walmart superstore will cover 27 acres, with another 11 acres around the area that will be developed with smaller retail spaces, a gas station and restaurants.
One of the three stores in southern Dallas, the retailer committed to open last year, the new Walmart store will meet the basic grocery needs of the locality by providing fresh, nutritious, reasonably-priced food.
Ground will be broken for the new store on 3 October 2012 and the store is expected to open in early 2014.
