Spread over 65,800 square-foot, this superstore would also be Lehigh Valley’s first LEED-certified grocery store.

The Fogelsville location will feature a larger perishable department, including a produce department with a greater selection of organic produce, an in-store café selling beer, a full-service pharmacy and more.

To achieve the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED certification, the new supermarket will measurably reduce or mitigate its environmental impact in the areas of sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, material selection and indoor environmental quality.

Weis Markets operates 162 stores across the US.
