Developed on a disused exhibition venue and car park, the site on Blackburn Road, West Hampstead will offer 90 student accommodation units and 25,000 square feet of flexible commercial workspace.
Assa Abloy Security Solutions has supplied a number of security systems and products to the urban regeneration project, including its Assa journal hinges, Union high security mortice locks, key Ultra cylinders and stainless steel door furniture, plus door closers and timber doorsets.
Supplying products for over 1000 doorsets, Assa Abloy Security Solutions developed a bespoke total specification solution that provided the correct balance between accessibility and security at the multi-use venue, which will be used by students, staff and the public.
The company also supplied fully painted timber doorsets in colours to match the interior design scheme. This also helped to reduce the amount of labour and hazardous materials required on site, which is critical on such a large project, with multiple uses in the combination of commercial space and student living.
Designed to encourage investment and employment in the local area, the regeneration project is based on a sustainable redevelopment programme.
