The Keynsham regeneration scheme is being developed by Bath & North East Somerset Council. The new proposal includes development of a mixed-use scheme, which will consist of shops and restaurants, new library and an innovative One Stop Shop for local public sector services, new streets and spaces for markets and events, and low carbon sustainable Council offices.

Willmott Dixon has commenced stripping out the existing buildings on the site to prepare for demolition. The construction of the highways is also underway, which is likely to alleviate the problems of traffic congestion and improve access.

The revised plans highlight a new roof design and reduction in the area of brass used. The construction of the building is likely to span for two-years and is slated for completion in the third quarter of 2014.
