The class A+ office space is being developed by Warbud, a subsidiary of Vinci Construction. The office space will span over 41,300 square feet and will be connected with a shopping mall located on the border of Warsaw’s Sródmiescie and Mokotów districts.
The Nowy Plac Unii was evaluated for more than 80 criteria which consisted of facility management, water consumption, carbon dioxide consumption and emissions, the impact of the materials on the environment, the impact of the building on the well-being and health of its users, the location and circulation solutions in the context of carbon footprints reduction, waste management, management of space and minimizing pollution.
The building incorporates a host of sustainable elements, which comprises installation of water leakage sensors and air quality monitoring system. The building’s design enables it to reap maximum day light. The entire space has light sensors, which adjust the light on the basis of natural light intensity. The acoustic performance of the building has also been reduced to below 35dB.
The project is scheduled for a wrap-up in 2013.
