Work includes rearrangement of the store which now will organise clothes into areas depending on the types of attires and will pair them with matching outfits and accessories. Other changes involve relocation of the registers from the front portion and installation of a checkout section in the center. The upgraded store will present customers with a large display of outfits arranged on mannequins immediately after they they enter the store.
Upgrades have been carried out in changing rooms which will now be shifted from the back of the store to the middle in two rows along a central runway. The arrangement will enable customers to continue shopping after they try on the first attire. The hanger hooks in the changing rooms have also undergone remodelling. The hooks have been organised in three categories titled Love It, Love It, and Not For Me. The store is further equipped with various Quick Change booths throughout to serve customers who want faster fits for trying clothes. The booths feature canvas curtains which can be pulled around and locked.
Other features of the renovated store include a small play area for toddlers comprising digital projectors which display images of soccer balls, fish and several other toys on the floor. The images scatter around the floor with the movement of the children.
The group has already upgraded a store in Clearwater, Florida in 2010 and another in Tampa at Westshore Plaza, Florida in early 2011. Old Navy plans to carry out remodeling work on its other stores soon.
