The main theme of the menu of the restaurant is eggs, which has been incorporated in the design as well. The restaurant is divided into two dining areas –a central dining space with long communal tables – and individual tables in front of a large blackboard. Wood is the dominant element in the entire space with a wooden bar facade made of three different types of wood including oak, maple and beech veneers, and matching stools.

The space inside the restaurant has been characterized with a play created by natural light. The façade features oak veneered panels with egg-shaped cut outs to filter light from street-facing glass windows. A tinge of farmhouse charm is created by using guava tree branch off-cuts that are sleeved over bulb holders. All the exposed light bulbs are connected to dimmers to regulate the brightness needed during the day and night.

The architects have also exposed the original concrete ceiling of this historical building, whose textural qualities have been highlighted with the added lighting.

Spread over an area of 58 square meters, the all-day breakfast serving restaurant is located in a fifty-year old student dormitory next to the National University of Singapore’s Law Campus and can accommodate up to 38 diners.
