The 16 year-old facility will don a more open-plan concept as part of the project. It will be equipped with a new roof, a self-checkout system, and new carpet following the facelift. It will also receive fresh coats of paint. The number of computers installed in the revamped building will increase from its existing number of 12 to 36. The computers will offer internet access.
There will be tables comprising outlets to plug-in electronic devices like laptops. In addition, the project will involve conversion of the front lobby area of the building into a book browsing space post upgrades which will be fitted with new furniture pieces.
