Expected to be the largest renovation in the hotel’s 20-year history, the redesign scheme will bring a dramatic transformation to the property, elevating it to a new level of contemporary luxury.
The revitalization scheme will include the addition of luxury rooftop suites and other significant changes to all areas of the Park Hyatt Sydney, which is positioned between the world-famous Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Renowned as an intimate, residential-style hotel blended with architecture, design and art, the hotel mirrors the Australian landscape.
The remodeling project will involve a complete redesign of the hotel’s guest rooms. The property will receive new architectural fixtures and finishes, custom-designed contemporary lighting, new furniture and unique artwork by renowned Australian artists. The interiors will be redesigned to offer a natural feel featuring rich layers of chocolate, cream and beige tones. All guest rooms will feature floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open onto spacious private balconies. This will provide a unique indoor-outdoor experience honoring Park Hyatt Sydney’s exclusive harbor front location.
The hotel’s restaurants and bars, private dining rooms, day spa and recreational facilities will also be enhanced through renovation. The hotel will be installed with energy-efficient lighting and water-saving devices.
Spearheaded by interior designers BARstudio, the remodeling project is expected to be completed in 2011.
