Fashion designer Paul Smith has created a special lamp for Anglepoise, incorporating one of his design trademarks – the use of colourful striped patterns – into the design of the classic Anglepoise Type75 table lamp.
Anglepoise® + Paul Smith lamp went on show at the annual Clerkenwell Design Week festival in London and will be available to pre-order on both the Anglepoise and Paul Smith websites mid August.
Originally designed by British industrial product designer Kenneth Grange, the Anglepoise Type75 has been given new look, with deep grey-olive tones set against sharp accents of fuchsia and line with cornflower and clay colours used for the base of the lamp, which also features Smith’s signature logo.
Smith said: ‘It has been brilliant to work on this project. Anglepoise is such an iconic piece of British design [and] I am honoured to have been involved.’
