Pursuant to the contract, Peab will build 146 apartments, consisting of residential units for elderly and sheltered housing. The residential units will be built across two buildings, which will also accommodate a hall, studios for daytime activities, restaurant kitchen as well as buffer space for staff and office space.

The residential units boast of a design, sympathetic to mobility requirements of the seniors, which will add to the convenience and daily experiences of the residents. Plans also include development of a large, weather protected courtyard, which will fulfill the gardening requirements of the residents. The courtyard’s design will also offer optimum accessibility.

Construction on the scheme is scheduled to begin in October 2012 with completion slated for mid-2014. The project is valued at SEK258 million ($40 million).
