Austria-based Bene is showcasing Riya work chair designed by PearsonLloyd. The chair is the result of the studio’s continuous effort to challenge the overtly technical aesthetic that dominates workplace design. Consciously open and human, Riya is designed to operate across the workplace, from traditional workstation settings to collaborative environments. Controls are intuitive and the forms are clean.

Three new products designed for Gaia & Gino will see the studio combine the age-old ritual of eating by candlelight, with man’s inner desire to play. Spilli, Cleo and Siluet are candleholders that can be assembled by the user into an endless possibility of combinations, to create sculptural compositions on the tabletop.

A new plastic stacking chair has been designed by PearsonLloyd to partner Howe’s iconic 40/4 chair. SixE combines ergonomics, elegance, intelligent engineering, efficiency, ease of use and rigorous environmental credentials to deliver a new standard in this category.

Hem, the studio’s new chair for Modus, is named after the soft stitching detail running along the edge of the upholstery. The chair’s separate soft shell interior and slim outer frame are made using a minimal amount of material. Each part of the chair can be easily separated and recycled at the end of its life, and upholstery is shipped flat pack. Hem is lightweight, affordable and relaxed.

Galleria, a new public-space seating system for Tacchini, comprises a series of metal, wood and fabric elements in different shapes and colours. These can be assembled in a variety of ways to create striking architectural compositions. The product is designed for use by both individuals and groups, and can be used within public spaces and the workplace.

A further extension to the Polar seating range, Polar Perch embraces a fluid idea of seating. It is suitable for in-between spaces where people lean, perch or linger for just a few minutes to have a quick conversation. Polar Perch engages with the emerging culture of collaborative spaces in the workplace, and informal meeting and social areas within the hotel sector.

As part of its ongoing research into the meeting point between craft and mass production, Kyo, PearsonLloyd’s new chair for Walter Knoll, combines intelligent plastic moulding with leatherwork.
