Based on a secure transparency theme, the design of the new bank allows customers to decide the extent of openness or privacy in their transactions. The space evokes a sleek, professional feel featuring granite floors which represent the company’s stability.
Perkins+Will used Sabadell’s design guidelines from its European headquarters as a guide to conform to the overall branding of the company, with slight modifications to make the US branches inviting for the domestic customers.
Most part of the new bank is made of glass, starting from the teller counter to the conference rooms, to promote a transparent and personal experience between customers and their representatives. The new layout also includes sleek wood veneer sliding doors that conceal file cabinets and translucent glass counters that discreetly display FDIC-required notices.
The bank is now open to the public and is located at the company’s headquarters in the Sabadell Financial Center Building. This location will serve as the prototype for Sabadell’s redesign roll out at all of their branches.
